Apollo 3.0 Radiometer / Photometer

Our meters are calibrated at our in-house ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. Why choose a meter that is calibrated in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory?

One of the greatest problems in the NDT industry today is lack of accurate calibrations. Many companies try to calibrate inhouse or at calibration labs that are not audited by anyone and do not follow a procedure that is considered adequate for calibrations, hiding behind generic standards. Often, the equipment used is very basic, such as a handheld UV light used by NDT inspectors. The consequences of wrong readings is a domino effect of confusion across the NDT industry.

Example: Companies that are required to follow ROLLS-ROYCE RRES 90061 and Airbus AITM6-1001 have a maximum limit in intensity of 5,000 μW/cm2. It is often the case that readings on the manufacturers unit test reports shows a different number than what is measured on the field. The Rolls-Royce and Airbus vendors that use these lights cannot use them if they read above 5,000 μW/cm2, causing inspection stops.

The ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is a significant improvement towards standardization of values as the auditor ensures that the procedures followed and the equipment used are adequate and lead to the correct readings. Many reputable Aerospace companies have adopted ISO/IEC 17025, “with scope in UV and White Light calibrations” as a requirement in their UV meter calibrations.

All Apollo 3.0 meters come calibrated with a calibration certificate signed by the Lab manager. Re-calibration charge is USD 250 / EUR 240.

Inspector KITs for NDT

The ultimate inspector kit, "Stockholm" (PN: K001) to carry field inspections in a professional and reliable manner. All UV lights included are tested and certified to comply with ASTM E3022-18.

Stockholm kit (PN: K001) includes 3 highly durable UV lights and 1 UV and White Light meter:

(a) MB 3.0 Zeus handheld UV light with Athena spray can holder - PN: L122;

(b) UVG3 2.0 Midlight UV Flashlight - PN: L135;

(c) UVG5 2.0 Midlight UV Headlight - PN: L128;

(d) Apollo 3.0 UV and White Light meter - PN: M505.

UV lights in the standard kit can be replaced with other models within the same series upon request. Selected UV models from each Series have been tested to comply with ASTM E3022-18, Rolls-Royce RRES 90061 and Airbus AITM6-1001.

Members of the US military should ask for PN: K002 as it has been customized to meet USAF requirements.

Three additional KITs are available, Gothenburg (PN: K003), Malmo (PN: K004) and Uppsala (PN: K005), if not all four units are required.

Apollo 3.0 UV & WH meter

Radiometer/photometer measuring UV and visible light via a single wireless sensor. Available as a single kit (1 Reader and 1 Sensor) or double kit (1 Reader and 2 Sensors). Each sensor measures both UV and White Light. The 4 year warranty is conditional on recalibrations carried by Labino authorized labs to avoid misuse. Alternatively, the warranty is 1 year.

Apollo 3.0 is traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and is in compliance with ISO 3059-12.

Comes calibrated with a calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. Labino is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory with scope in UV-A and visible light calibrations.
